Privacy
How AuCRA Compass handles the data you give it: which AI providers process it, what we store, and what happens when you delete something.
AI providers and where processing happens
AuCRA Compass sends text to two AI providers. Both run on servers in the United States, so excerpts of your documents and the questions you ask leave the EU when they are processed.
- Novita AI (MiniMax M3 model, hosted on servers in the United States) runs the assistant chat and auto-fill suggestions.
- Voyage AI (embedding and reranking models, hosted on servers in the United States) indexes the documents you upload and retrieves the passages relevant to a question.
Chat data
We keep the chat history of each workspace so that you can pick up a conversation where you left off and the assistant keeps the context of what was discussed. Chat messages are stored in our database alongside the workspace, are never used to train models, and are sent to the AI providers above only as part of the conversation you are having. They are erased together with the workspace, and you can clear a workspace's chat history at any time from the chat panel.
What we keep to run the platform
- Your email address, which identifies your account.
- Your workspaces and assessments, so you can save your answers and return to them.
- The documents you upload, and the indexed excerpts made from them.
We keep these because the product is built around saving your work and coming back to it later.
Deletion
Deleting is a hard purge. There is no soft delete, no recycle bin and no recovery path.
- Delete a workspace and the workspace row and everything keyed to it are erased in a single database transaction: its documents, their indexed excerpts, its assessments, share links, auto-fill suggestions and chat history.
- Delete a single uploaded document and the document and its indexed excerpts are erased in a single transaction.
One thing is deliberately kept: where the AI previously cited an excerpt, the stored answer keeps the reference id it cited at the time, because that record states what the AI was shown when it answered. The excerpt text itself is gone, and the reference simply resolves to nothing.
